Peter Krause is a German opera critic, music journalist, and academic based in Hamburg. As a musicologist, he teaches cultural journalism and opera history at the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre. Additionally, he is the editor of the newspaper zwoelf and directs the event series junges forum Musik + Theater. He places particular emphasis on supporting young artists and promoting classical music. His work combines scientific expertise with practical cultural mediation.
