Petros Chochlakakis

Musicologist, pianist-organist, composer
Petros Hochlakakis (b. 2001) is a graduate (integrated master’s) of the Department of Music Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in Historical and Systematic Musicology. From April 2026, he will be pursuing a doctoral dissertation on the ritornello form in the solo concerto during the first half of the 18th century, supervised by Professor Ioannis Fulias. He is a final-year student in the Composition Department of the Athens Conservatoire, under the supervision of Filippos Tsalahouris. He studied piano at the Athens Conservatoire with Professor Titos Gouvelis, receiving a diploma with “Excellent” grade, a First Prize, and an honorary distinction “on the occasion of Anton Bruckner’s 200th birth anniversary” (January 2024). In June 2024, he received a scholarship from The Friends of Music Society and the Athens Concert Hall to study church organ under the guidance of Ourania Gasiou. From September 2025, he will be part of the faculty at the Athens College Conservatory as a piano professor.
