Following ‘ANADROMES I’ at the Athens Concert Hall, with the Philharmonia Orchestra of Athens, conducted by Nikos Tsouchlos, and soloists Mary-Ellen Nesi and Dimitris Koukos, composer Periklis Koukos travels to Venice.

It was announced today that Leonidas Kavakos will be Principal Guest Conductor of the Minnesota Orchestra for a three-year term beginning with the 2027-28 season.
This is the historic Minneapolis Orchestra, whose music director from 1937-1949 was the eminent Greek conductor Dimitri Mitropoulos.
In the past, the position of Principal Guest Conductor of the Minnesota Orchestra was held by Leonard Slatkin (1975–1979), Klaus Tennstedt (1979–1982), and Charles Dutoit (1983–1986).

The Ahmed Adnan Saygun Sanat Merkezi (AASSM) in Izmir hosted a concert of particular artistic and symbolic significance, highlighting the power of music as a means of remembrance, coexistence, and intercultural dialogue. Pianists Erato Alakiozidou and Lito Thomou presented a two-piano recital, deeply moving the large audience with their expressiveness, virtuosity, and exemplary stage collaboration.

At Berlin’s historic Konzerthaus, in two concerts on January 23 and 24, 2026, the iconic Konzerthausorchester will perform Periklis Koukos’ four-movement symphonic poem for large orchestra.

On January 15, 2026, in the snowy Alps, by Lake Lugano, the Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, presents two Greek composers: Periklis Koukos and Nikos Skalkottas.
